A Xina Maldita Giveaway

Lemme tell you a secret:

Whenever I scout for trendy yet affordable apparel, I always make sure to swing by at Xina Maldita first. As a loyalista for more than a couple of years now, I’m proud to say that I’ve partnered with them for a giveaway! Are you excited?

On me is a one of a kind gray

Xina Maldita sweater with a cute owl print design that’s bound to make someone take a second look. It’s so comfy I don’t wanna take it off!

I’ve paired it with a skater skirt I got several moons ago from Gaisano Mall, a studded backpack with angel wings flapping on the side from SM CDO and a pair of skeleton ankle-cut sneakers that I got from a thrift shop. Who said fashion needs to be expensive?

First OOTD

Hi everyone! I know it has been awhile since I posted something on this blog. Just wanna let you know that, yes, I’m still here and I still think about you guys.

I have been aching to share a lot of things to you like my Butuan-Surigao trip, my first experience as a hired food critic, my business Agent Dolly, my food trips with le boyfie, my aerial yoga and so much more… But somehow, there’s just too much going on lately that I don’t feel like writing about them anymore. Maybe I’ll write about them some other time… However, I cannot promise that. But what I can promise is to try to keep this blog alive.

And in the spirit of putting life back to my blog, I shall now throw random photos of myself every now and then when I have nothing else to post. I know this sounds borderline narcassistic but I swear that they will never be tasteless selfies. Haha!

I’ve been thinking about injecting fashion and beauty posts on this blog for awhile now and I think it’s about time that I should.

For those who don’t know, I used to be an aspiring fashion blogger on Multiply. I would post most of my OOTDs there back when I was in college until they closed their operations.

My main influences were Style Arena, Japanese Streets and Lloyda Lim

But obviously, I outgrew them all. I now have fully embraced the grungy and edgy chic vibe with the 90’s kind of flair. Those who know me on a personal level know that I identify myself best with this kind of style. My main influences are Jenn Im and Luanna.

But this doesn’t mean I won’t deviate from this style from time to time though. As always, what I wear depends on my mood and my hair color.

If you like to see more OOTDs on my blog, please don’t forget to show some love here so I’ll know if I should post more OOTDs in the future. Also, follow me on Instagram for more updates. Hope ya’ll enjoyed this post! 🙂

The Aviatrix

The Aviatrix is a project that is inspired by the legendary Amelia Earhart. It is a collaboration that I have done with Jed Reyes, Jims Oga and Gio Atinen.

To say that I am honored to have worked with such amazing people is an understatement.

Before anything else, I would just like to disclose that I am by no means a professional model nor am I making claims that I am even close to being one.

It is only upon the request of my friends that I will pose for photos and this is something that I have been doing for FUN since I was a college sophomore.

Please click on the photos for a higher resolution and enjoy!

Concept, Photography and Post-processing
Jed Reyes is an MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) graduate (MSU-IIT is one of the top universities of the Philippines) and is a graphic designer by profession. Even with only over a year of experience in photography, he is already starting to make a name for himself both in Iligan City and his hometown General Santos City. His strengths are street, glamour and fashion photography.

Hair and Makeup
Jims Oga is one of the most sought-out freelance hair and makeup artists in Iligan City. He is also the image stylist of Dance Impulse Production (DIP).

Photo Assistant
Gio Atinen is an art enthusiast from Iligan City who is into sketching, drawing, graphic designing and, just recently, photography. He was also a part of the prestigious Integrated Performing Arts Guild (IPAG) as a musician and has toured all over the Philippines.
